We developed our Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Clean Sanding Abrasive Disc 737U for superior cut and long disc life during key stages in auto body repair. It features 3M™ Precision-Shaped Grain technology – triangular-shaped, electrostatically oriented grains form sharp peaks, each acting like an individual cutting tool that slices through paint and body filler. This grain cuts 30% faster than traditional premium abrasives. The disc is ideal for feather-edging, as a final sanding step before priming, or during prep before blending. Individual edges in the shaped grain also self-fracture to continually present a sharp cutting surface, making the cut more consistent and prolonging the life of the disc.About Cubitron II and Precision-Shaped Grain3M™ Cubitron II products have raised the bar for high-performing abrasives. They are often used in applications where an adhesive backed disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit™ discs tend to leave finer finishes. Hookit™ sanding discs conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
