IET Hong Kong Members Visited 3M Customer Technical Centre
In the afternoon of 17th December 2016, 17 members from Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering Section of The Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (IET Hong Kong) visited 3M Customer Technical Centre. C. K. Wu, Senior Manager and Wilfred Mak, Application Specialist of 3M Technical Department, toured them around the Centre and introduced 3M’s significant inventions, core technical platforms, as well as the ways in which 3M science help improve people’s daily life.
3M Customer Technical Centre exhibits and demonstrates many 3M proprietary technologies, including whiteboard solutions, telecom systems and energy systems, Safety-Walk™ Traction System, tactile guide, Nomad™ matting systems, commercial cleaning products, sun control window film and security film. Moreover, various industrial applications of 3M’s abrasives, tapes and adhesives, air filtration and water purification, and immersion cooling are showcased. 3M Customer Technical Center provides a pleasant environment for 3M specialists to collaborate with its customers as well as other professionals and stakeholders to come up with innovative technologies, products and applications to meet the present or future market needs.
