3M Hong Kong received 2 Gold Awards by accomplishing two Green Missions – “Save Resources” and “Save Energy” – organized by Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong) to help minimize the human impact to our planet. For a measurement period of 6 months, the Company had substantially reduced the consumption of paper and printer cartridges by over 44% and 17% respectively. It had saved 8.63% of energy over the half-year period as well.

Sustainability is among the core corporate values of 3M. And, we are committed to improving every life on the planet. This is why, for a decade, 3M Hong Kong has been participating in various projects and events initiated by FoE (HK). As its Mars (2006-2016) in the Earth Partner program, the Company actively engage its staff to learn more about the pressing environmental problems such as excessive waste, energy and water wastage; and at the same time share methods and common goals of conserving and improving the environment.

In April this year, in light of the Paris Agreement in COP21, a brand new “COOL Corporate” initiative will replace the Earth Partner program. 3M Hong Kong will continue to support the new program to help adopt “Zero Waste” and “Zero Carbon” practices through enhancing environmental awareness and improving CSR performance, as we believe through concerted efforts we can create a brighter and greener future!
