3MHK awarded Caring Company Logo for 17 consecutive years & Two 3Mers named Caring Ambassadors for their outstanding contributions

In recognition of 3M’s long-standing commitment to caring for the community, treasuring the employees and protecting the environment, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) has bestowed the Caring Company Logo upon the company for 17 years in a row. On 15 February, Claire Fung, Manager of the Human Resources Department and Cynthia Lai, Manager of Brand and Communications, attended the “Hong Kong Social Service Expo 2023” and received the Caring Company Certificate on behalf of 3MHK.

3M has always been a purpose-driven company that backs initiatives to foster community sustainability. Last year, 3MHK Love & Care Volunteer Team participated in various activities, including planting trees to enhance ecological value for the woodlands in partnership with Green Earth, helping to prepare hot meal boxes at Food Angel to feed the disadvantaged, and joining the Walk for Millions to raise funds for agencies that provide Family and Children Welfare Services in Hong Kong.

3Mers also took the initiative to drive meaningful changes in society. For example, STEM Education & Experience Workshops have been organised for primary and secondary school students for over two years. Our staff members deciphered the scientific knowledge and principles behind 3M’s proprietary technologies. The Workshops enable students to relate factual knowledge to real-life experience, pique their curiosity and kindle the spirit of exploration in science and technology.

With their outstanding contributions in the STEM workshops by explaining and demonstrating the abrasives and adhesives technologies as well as the film and microreplication technologies respectively, Horace Tong, Sales Manager of IATD,CMSD & EMD, and Turis Li, Senior Application Engineer of CSD, were crowned “Caring Ambassadors”.

Launched by HKCSS in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme aims to foster strategic partnerships between the business and social services sectors to promote good corporate citizenship and create a more inclusive society.
